Day 3 in Japan! Ko-chan's Kitchen.

My uncle runs an Izakaya (Japanese pub). This is one of my favorite places to eat and I visit everytime I come back to Japan. His cooking is not super fancy but it reminds me of my mom's cooking. Of course, it's because he is my mom's brother. But his meal is like... just good!

I visited one of my best friends and she made super healthy lunch for me. All of them were so good.

Sushi-go-round! You can pick sushi plates on a belt conveyor. Each plates have different prices and a server comes to check the plates when you finish.

Chicken Wings! Coz It's a Game Day!

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Such a perfect day to grill. I made three flavor of wings; Seasoning Salt, Italian Dressing and Chives with Balsamic Vinegar. I love wings!

I was going to order pizza at Spak Brothers but it seemed like very busy. So I decided to eat out at Caliente. I got there around 6pm and it was so crowded. I thought it was Friday. Just after 7pm, the bar section was not busy anymore. People seemed like hanging there for happy hour. It was half price for craft draft! I ordered pizza and wings. It was good but I am so in love with Spak Bros. But def. I'll come back for the happy hour!

Vegetable Soup Diet, Day 7 - Last Day!

Diet Days on September 14.

Day 7 (Sep 14) - +2.7 lbs (Total -3 lbs) - Yes, I ate steak and drank alcohol.
Vegetable Soup, 1 Cup of Hot Apple Cider, 1 Cup of Coffee, Water, 1 Glass of Orange Juice, Beer , Wine and ...

VegHead Salad at New Amsterdam - Portobello Mushroom, Avocado, Cucumber, Edamame, Chick Peas, Carrot, Tomato, with Green Salad.

Just note ... I did weigh myself next morning. I lost 4.6 lbs in total. :)

Day 5 (Sep 12): +2.4 lbs (Total -3 lbs) - I want to yell at myself yesterday.
Vegetable Soup, 2 cups of coffee, Water, Hamburger, Onion Rings, Mushrooms, Tomato Salad, Beer and Wine

Vegetable Soup Diet, Day 4 - I failed!

Diet Days on September 11.

I failed. I had a day off today. First I ate snacks a bit. I told myself. That's it! No more! Just keep eating soup. Then J came home a case of Southern Tier. My Diet Plan was over. So here are what I had. But look, I did weigh myself in the morning and it was good.

Day 4 (Sep 11): -1.2 lbs (Total -5.4 lbs)
Soup and ... (Note: I was supposed to have only soup, 3 bananas and skim milk)

Chicken Fajitas, Corn Salsa, Guacamole

Shrimp Crackers - This crunchy snack ruined my diet.

I hate J! and I love Southern Tier!

Pork Buns - I really shouldn't have gone to Asian Market.

I ate and drank fore than I should have on Labor day weekend. I decide to go on a diet! My goal is to lose 10 pounds. I weigh myself every morning!

Vegetable Soup - Chicken Broth, Cabbage, Can of Tomatoes, Carrot, Celery, Onion, Red Pepper. Curry Powder.

Day 1 (Sep 8):
Vegetable Soup, 1 Apple, 2 Cups of Coffee, Water, Club Soda

Day 2 (Sep 9): -1.8 lbs
Vegetable Soup, Cabbage Salad with Ponzu Sauce, 2 Cups of Coffee, Water, Club Soda

Soft Opening, Pints on Penn!

Dinner at Pints on Penn on September 1.

Grand opening is this weekend, but I saw people having drinks inside. So I walked in and tried their food. I liked their food. Hamburgers were huge. Hopefully they stays same size after the grand opening. The place is 2 stories and has a patio on the second floor. It's located on Penn Ave. and it is not as busy as Butler St. I guess it can be easier to find a parking spot.

Locally Raised Sweet & Spicy Extra Thick Bacon - I liked it. It's good for appetizer.

Fried Pickle Chips with Stout Mustard - I love fried pickles. But I won't order this again. The flavor of the pickles is not my favorite. Stout mustard sauce was delicious.

Hamburger - It was tasty. If it has a bit more salt on the burger, it would be perfect. French fries? It was awesome!
