It was the last day at work. I made it this year! So I went to Ting's kitchen. I was hungry for good soup. I had a great evening. Of course, I took the leftover. I already look forward to tomorrow lunch!

Pork and Bamboo Shoot - J picked this meal. It was good but I would rater to order pork belly. I LOVE pork belly.

I went to have Chinese food to Sushi Tomo. When she asked me to have Chinese at Sushi Tomo, I was like?? She used to work there and she knew they had Chinese menu. You have to ask the server for the menu.

Lunch at Ting's Kitchen: It used to be China Star. But they serve almost same menu. I guess they have a new owner and same chef? Anyway my favorite Chinese restaurant in town.

Water Spinach: If you like it, you might like Snow Pea Leaves. It's seasonal and available except winter. Ask a server!

Sichuan Gourmet Groupon

I was thrilled when I found Groupon of Sichuan Gourmet. That is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant. I wanted to have Snow Pea Leaves but it was seasonal :( I enjoyed the meal anyway. Hopefully I can find the coupon again! It's a good deal.

Snow Peas Leaves

I didn't know that we could eat Snow peas leaves. First, I ordered water spinach but they didn't have it. The server suggested me to try the snow peas leaves. It was first time for me to eat the snow peas leaves. It was good. I think it is pretty similar flavor and texture to water spinach.

There's one thing I worried. I went there around 8pm on Friday night. It's almost empty ... I hope their business is ok enough to keep running.

I was so hungry for curb. So I went to eat Chinese. I had know that I should not have ordered lunch special. It was good but it was something I can eat at any other places. Anyway I enjoyed the pork dumplings. I ordered more than I can eat (well, to be honest, I could finish), so I saved them for tomorrow lunch. I don't think I come back. Because I can't find pork belly on the menu.

Everyday Noodles

When I go to authentic Chinese restaurants, I would like to have some people with me. Because the servings are usually too big for myself or to share with two. Everyday Noodles is a good place to go by myself or with someone. And Everyday noodles has delicious pork soup dumplings. You have to be careful not to burn your tongue when you eat them. I go to Every Noodles for the dumplings. I always order them and try something new. I enjoyed the meal today and I can't wait to come back and eat more!

My favorite Chinese restaurant was China Star, but today I tried Sichuan Gourmet my friends recommended. Wow, I liked it. I can't wait to come back and order something more.

Lunch at China Star on Jan. 28. It was warm today, but we had cold days last week. So I was hungry for nice and warm soup. Then I picked China Star. Thay have special menu for Chinese New Years. I had winter melon with clam soup and some appetizer. Of course, main dish for me is pork belly.

 

Appetizer : Black Fungus - It's a cold dish. I like the texture, soft but crunchy.

I don't know why but I felt like I wanna do somehting feminine. So I did face treatment last night and made a nail appointment for tomorrow. I did some yoga this morning. What else can I do? Yes, I need collagen. So I decided to go to China star to have pork belly. lol.

 

Asparagus and Crab Meat Soup : very simple flavour. Again, its as good as clam and melon soup for hangover.

 

Salt and Pepper Squid : Crispy Calamari. It's deep fried, but it's not oily at all and good with veggies underneath.

 

Braised Pork Belly and Chestnuts : I see 2 choice of pork belly on the menu, with chetnuts or eggplant. I like chestnuts one better. First, I thought it comes with water chestnuts, but it has whole ones. It tasted sweet like sweet potatoes. I enjoyed the pork belly, of course. I came here today for it.

 

Fortune Cookie : "You shall seek out new adventures .... (in bed)." This is perfect!
