Cooked Veggies

Dinner on Feb. 6. Again, very Japanese meal. I did really good job for cooked veggies.

Sake no Shioyaki : Grilled Salmon

Gomokuni(?) : Cooked veggies - It has carrot, renkon(lotus root), daikon(daikon radish), shitake mushroom and black beans tofu.

Bok Choy Oshitashi : Bok Choy Salad - with mustard and soy sauce

Saba Syogani

Dinner on Feb. 5. Very Japanese. Addition to the plates on the picture, I had rice and miso-soup with enoki mushroom.

Saba Syogani : ginger mackerel - I didn't follow a recipe and it tasted too light. I should have added a bit more soy sauce and sugar.

Oshitashi : Spinach Salad

Daikon Nimono : Cooked Daiko Radish

Feb. 4 Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner

Meals on Feb. 4.

Breakfast : Takana(Japanese pickles) and egg fried rice

Lunch at Angkor :
Lemon Grass Soup and Spring Roll - I like Lemon Grass Soup here, sour and spicy.

Stir-fry bean sprout - There was choice, vegetarian, tofu and meats. So I picked vegetarian. Then this is what I got! Although I like bean sprouts, but wouldn't you expect more? It had only bean sprouts and garlic chives. It was tasty, but I should have picked something else.

Fortune cookie : "You cannot make two people like each other ... in bed" lol. BTW I thought fortune cookies are Chinese.

Church Brew Works

Lunch at Church Brew Works. It's so cold today and I got hungry for soup. I like vietnamese pho, but I didn't feel like Asian food today. Then I picked Church Brew Works. Seven Onion Soup! It was really good. As I ordered sandwich and soup combo, the soup was small. I will order bowl of the onion soup next time.

Pipe Organ Pale Ale - It was nice balanced beer. hoppie and fruity.

1/2 Roasted Vegetable Sandwich and Seven Onion Soup - Sandwich had grilled red papper, zucchini onion, lettuce and goat-cheese. It was ok.
