Vegetarian Dinner

Dinner on February 25.
Japanese pumpkin, Bean Sprout, Green pepper and Tofu Stir-fry. All veggies.

Lunch on Feburuary 24.
I got VERY hungry for Udon noodle soup. So I went to buy udon noodle and made it with simple fish broth. Takikomi-gohan (mixed rice) is on the side. Perfect!

Proper

Dinner at Proper on February 23.
I went there just after 5pm. Around 6pm, some people were waiting to be seated. I understand. Nice atomosphere and good food. I ordered, appetizer, salad and pizza. I liked all of them. I don't think I would come when I hugry for pizza. It was kinda fancy pizza. It's not for miller lite. lol. The pizza dough tasted a bit sweet, I felt. Maybe it's because of caramerized onion or something like that? And also the bar has good craft beer selection.
 
Bacon Candy - I loved it! Who doesn't?

Amalfi - very simple arugula salad. I liked the dressing.

Ham and Cheese Bagel Sandwich

Lunch on February 23.
Does it look like breakfast? yes, it does. But I don't make breakfast unless I am SUPER hungry. I do think I can say I make this meal. (It took less than 5 minutes).

Grass fed beef part 2. We had the T-Born steak last time. This time is Sirloin Steak. hmmm, it's not as tender as t-born's. maybe it's grilled too much. I think it's good for burrito or something else.

I bought a big cauliflower. I boiled them and ate as salad. There are still some left and I want to have it not for salad. What about curry flavor? So I made curry and have it on rice with cheese and baked in the oven. It was good:)

Saba Miso-Ni

Dinner on February 19.
Very Japanese. Cooked Saba(Spanish Mackerel) with Miso, Cooked root vegetable, stir-fry broccoli. I really liked the Saba. I always cook it with defferent recipe. To remember, here's recipe.
 

Ingredients;
Saba, water 100cc (1/2cup), Miso 2 tbsp., sugar 2 tbsp., sake 50 cc (1/4cup), Soy Sauce 1 tbsp., 1 slice of ginger

Directions;
1. Have the fish in the colander and pour boiled water on it.
2. Put *ingredients in the pot on the stove.
3. Cook for 15 minutes.

Oven grilled Pig Tails!

I grilled the pig tail in the oven. It looks good, ha? It tasted good too. My skin will be as soft as baby's tomorrow.

Tonkotsu Ramen

Lunch on February 16.
I made Ramen with Pig Tail soup. OMG, I think I can open Ramen restaurant. haha. I still use instant noodles. I used the pig tail broth to cook the noodles.

My new hobby... take collagen from food!
I did a good job to make ox-tail soup last year, so I decided to try pig tail this time. It's so cheap! One package was less than $3. I know it's not popular at all here in the u.s.. Lucky me.
Anyway I post this to keep the recipe.
 
Pork Tails.

1. Rince the tails in water. Throw the tails in boiled water and cook for 10 mins. Dump the water and rince the tails in cold water.  Boil 2 cups of water and 1 can of  cheap beer with some slices of ginger and smashed garlics in the pressure cooker pot. Put the tails in the pot. Put the lid on. Cook with high heat. Once it starts getting pressured, turn the heat low and cook for 20 mins.

2. Turn the stove off and leave it until it gets cool enough.

3. Keep it in the fridge for a night. Take the fat part (it turns white on the surface) out from the pot.

4. Take the meat out.

Pizza Night

Dinner on February 15.
Yay! Pizza. I was hungry for Pizza for a while. I like simple cheese pizza. I like pizza here, Graziano's Pizzeria. Tons of cheese:) Calzones are good too, but it's kinda too heavy for me. Anyway I enjoyed the pizza a lot with fat head's IPA. Yes, they sell 6 packs!

Best Valentine's Dinner ever!

Dinner on Valentine's Day.
From my experience of server job, I learned I should not eat out on Valentine's Day. So I ordered sashimi to go and had dinner at home. Also I grilled fish head. I was so happy with great meal.

I had hamburger on Monday, but it was Japanese style. This one is Italian style? It tastes like meat ball. I had pasta on the side. For American,  hamburger and carrot sticks and chips on the side.

Fat Head's Saloon

Dinner at Fat Head's Saloon on February 11.
I went to Fat Head's with my co-worker. We were hungry after work and a little shopping :).
We ordered 2 munchies. jeez. We couldn't finish even one plate. Bar food rocks! As usual, we enjoyed chatting with good beer and greasy bar food.
 
Pedoro's Nachos - I love this nachos! I like corn chips but I like potato chips more!! 

Smoked chicken, Spinach and Artichoke Dip - This one was just ok. Fried pitas were kinda too much for me. I can't complain about that. This is where I am.

Bar Marco

Dinner at Bar Marco on February 7.
First visit to Bar Marco. I liked it. Easy ambience, good service and tasty food. I had beer ... it was $ 11. It's 10% one and I understand it can be more expensive than miller lite. I had a glass of wine. It was also $11. Isn't it over charged? I liked food. I think I will come back but I will remember I should be careful what to order for drink.
 
Meat and Cheese (small plate) - It was ok. Nothing Special. I don't think I will order it again. But I leraned blue cheese goes very good with honey. So it's worth to order for me. 

Barley Risotto - It's vegitalian menu. Actually I loved it. It's very rich. It made me full without meat.

Pork Chop - To be honest, I am not a big fan of pork chop. It's dry and less flavor. But this pork chop surprised me. Yes, I think this one is the best ever!

 
Double IPA - I liked it. It's full body and it was good with cheese too. $11.... I enjoyed it anyway.
