TGIF!

Friday, November 3
It was a long week. I guess the Tuesday event (pulling my wisdom tooth out) makes me that way. I just wanted to relax. We opened white wine for appetizer and enjoyed the homemade tomato sauce pasta.

Kushi Katsu Sunday

Sunday, October 22
I woke up early and it didn't seem like J would get up soon. So I made breakfast for myself. Well, nothing fancy but I enjoyed a quiet morning.

Breakfast
Nasu Tsukemono (Pickled Eggplant), Miso Soup, Rice - It could be perfect if we had an egg.

Dinner
Kushi Katsu (Breaded Deep Fried Meals): Onion, Shrimp, Cod, Renkon(Lotus Root) - When all food was ready to be deep-fried, I realized that I didn't have enough oil. So I just sprinkle some oil on food and put them in oven. It worked! Note for myself: 375F for 30 minutes.

Favorite Meals All Day!

Sunday, October 15
As I finished most of households yesterday, I had free time in the afternoon. I went to Kaelin Farm Market to pick up a pumpkin. Soergel Orchard is a big one in Wexford. In fact, they are good but it is very busy on weekend right now. I just needed one pumpkin, so Kaelin Farm Market is good enough and also they have fresh groceries and yummy sandwiches. Anyway I made Jack-O'-Lantern before the Steelers game starts. We won, so it was a good Sunday!

Lunch
Okonomiyaki (Cabbage Pancake)

Dinner
Spring Roll, Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken), Cabbage Salad

Saturday for Households

Saturday, October 14
I worked all day today; cleaning house, kitchen and bathrooms, doing dishes and laundry. I was going to cook but it was too beautiful inside. So I asked J to grill hamburger. I wonder how many evening we can eat outside rest of this year. Yeah, we should enjoy outside dining whenever weather permits!

Dinner
Shrimp Cocktail, Olive, Dried Fig, Cheese, Cracker

Hamburger, Baked Potato, Salad

Shio Saba Teishoku

Monday, October 9

Dinner: Shio Saba Teishoku (Mackerel Meal)
- Grilled Saba, Kimpira Gobou(burdock root), Salad, Miso Soup, Rice
Typical Japanese meal set. If it has pickled plum or daikon radish, it would be perfect!

Sunday, October 8
Okay, another cleaning day. But the heavy duties were done yesterday. I just have to do regular weekend household. Still not fun though.

Breakfast.
Hashed Potatoes, Scrambled Egg, Salad: I found a good recipe for hashed potatoes. It tasted good but it was too mushy. I can try it again.

Lunch
Beef Stroganoff Pasta: I found this recipe on Tasty Facebook. It was easy and good!

Dinner
Grilled Chicken and Salmon Salad: Salad is perfect for dinner after heavy lunch.

Wine Night

Saturday, October 7
It has been a week since my family left for Japan. My house is so messy. I am cleaning all this weekend. I didn't have energy to make dinner. So I got something good for wine and relax.
