I had such a busy day. I was going to stop by at Franklin Inn for happy hour drink but there was no parking spots. Fortunately, I had a few bottle of IPA in the fridge at home. Happy Friday!

Basil with Pork, Spice Level 4: I was going to order Glass Noodle Salad as usual, but wait! That is carbs! So I ordered Basil with Pork. It came with rice but I saved it for next day. I can't wait tomorrow breakfast. Oh yeah, I have no problems to eat Thai food in the morning. ha!

I didn't sleep well last night and I was very tired in the morning. J asked me about dinner before leaving for work. I was like, "Whatever. I am not gonna cook". Then he suggested Nicky's. They just opened the new location in the North Hills. Their food was good as usual. My Friday was good!

I usually order to go at Thai Gourmet but I ate at the restaurant. It was good. The main dish is big. It's a good place to eat out weekend without reservation.

I don't remember the name. It was like deep fried creamy crab wrap? I liked it.

Fish cake - I love it. It's a bit sweet and it goes good with sour dipping sauce.

Mussamun Curry

Curry Noodle - ... Green curry tastes good, but I would prefer just rice on the rice. I won't order this again.

Nicky's Thai Kitchen Downtown

Dinner at Nicky's Thai Downtown on October 25.

I had dinner at Nicky's before a musical show. I tried to make a reservation at some different restaurant, but it seemed too late. Everywhere was full booked. Fortunately I could squeeze in at Nicky's. I was happy that I didn't go to other restaurants. I have been to Nicky's in North Shore but it's first time here Downtown. I didn't know that Nicky's got alcohol license. I don't mind to bring my drink but its nice if I wanna go after work.

Vegetable 4 U - Appetizer combo (Fresh Spring Rolls,  Crispy Egg Rolls and Samosa)

Kao Soy - I loved it! It has noodle in curry soup.

Pumpkin custard with black rice - It's very rare for me but I ordered dessert. It was not very sweet. I enjoyed it.

I went to Noodle Head for lunch. Is it Thai food? It's different but I liked it. Pig wings! yummy! If I didn't need to go back to work, I must have had beer for sure. Oh, but Noodle Head doesn't have alcohol license. So make sure to bring your own booze!

Nicky's Thai Kitchcen

Lunch at Nicky's Thai Kitchen on September 6.

So far, I know three Thai restaurans, Angkor, Pusadee and Nicky's. I go to Angkor, because it is close to where I work and I don't think I go there on my day off. So Pusadee or Nicky's. Some of my friends like Pusadee more, the other prefer Nicky's. I like both, but Pusadee is not open for lunch. So I can go to Nicky's for lunch and Pusadee for dinner.

 

Salad

Tom Yum Soup - I liked it. It tasted lemon grass a lot.

Broccoli with port - it is just ok. I don't think I will order it again.

Pusadee's Garden

It has past 2 weeks since I came back from Japan. I was hungry for Asian food but Japanese (of course? lol). I went to Pusadee's Garden which my friend highly recommended. It was very busy. I guess the restaurant might have not expected to get that busy on the weekday. Food was good. I liked soup. I think only $1 for adding shrimp. It's cheap, so I didn't expect much, but shrimp was kinda good size. Entire meal are a bit cold. I still wanna give them another chance. I will come back.
