Dinner on Feb. 27. My co-worker gave me some food, so all I had to do was to grill salmon. It was very easy. Thank you Suzy!

Dinner on Feb. 21. I thought about making Pot-au-feu, but i didn't have good meat for it. So I decided to make Roll Cabbage. It's been a while since I made it last time. I think I did a good job.
It's easy to make. Throw everything in the pot and add a bit water with beef bouillon, and simmer for an hour.
It has ground beef in the cabbage! Yummy!

Dinner on Feb. 20. I had been hungry for gratin for a few month, but I always didn't have milk at home. I drink soy milk instead of regular milk. Anyway I made gratin at last. It has salmon, onion, carrot and mushroom. It was good but I can make it better.. I will try again soon.
Salmon Gratin and Spinach Salad with walnuts

Dinner on Feb. 18. I had been hungry for Mapo-Tofu since I bought tofu a few weeks ago. Finally, I made it. It was good. I usually like firm tofu, but silken tofu is better for Mapo-Tofu. I think I did good job, but it can be spicier.
Enjoy with rice!
Lunch at Pho Minh on Feb. 18. I always go to Tram's when I get hungry for Vietnamese food, but I also have heard people talking about Pho Minh. So I tried Pho Minh today. I had Pho with rare beef and tripe. It was pretty good. I think I might like here more than Tram's. About Pho, sometimes Tram's one is a bit salty. Also Pho Minh has more choice. I wanna try something else next time.
Spring Roll with Pork and Shrimp - It's ok. I don't think I order again.
Pho with Rare Beef and Tripe : I liked it a lot. Literally, beef is rare, but it's thin sliced and cooked in a hot broth. I also enjoyed tripe texture.

Dinner at Tamari on Feb. 17. I wanted to go to Cure but I couldn't make a reservation. I had some restaurants I wanna go, but most of them closed on Sunday. I picked Tamari and I'm happy my choice.
Beer : Bell's Hopslam - OMG, I never expected to have Hopslam today. Actually, I went to a beer distributer on the other day and Hopslam was sold out. I was so happy to have it.
Sashimi Sampler : Salmon, Yellowtail, White Tuna, Crab Stick and white fish( I forgot the name) - It was good. I liked Salmon and Yellowtail. BTW what is white tuna? I am Japanese and I know fish, but I don't know white tuna. What is that? Is it tuna? I don't think so. Actually, it was not that bad.
Tuna Tartar - It was ok.
Robata Grill : (top)Beef Tenderloin, (from left)Scottish Salmon, King Trapet, Bacon & Quail Egg - They are all good but I like Bacon & Quail Egg.
Lunch at Kassab's on Feb. 17. As usual, Salad after Yoga. Not Bigham Tavern today, I went to Kassab's. I love tabbouli here. I feel like it works good for detox.
BTW, I got a parking ticket while I had lunch. How stupid! I missed no-parking sign. I was pissed at myself, but think positive. I was lucky that my car didn't get towed. Anyway, be extra careful when you park at south side.
Tabbouli : Parsley, Tomato, Cucumber and Tabbouli
Falafel Sandwich : Falafel, Lettuce and Tomato - I usually order this sandwich or Portobella Mushroom sandwich. I can be a vegetarian at Kassab's.

Lunch at Ramen Bar on Feb. 11. It's the first ramen(not from a package) in the U.S. I ordered miso-based Negi Ramen. Noodle was ok, but broth........ it was too light. a bit thin. But I can take it here not in Japan. I had gyoza for appetizer. I can say it loud. DO NOT ORDER GYOZA. It was horrible. My messed up gyoza is way better. Anyway, I don't say I love ramen here, but I will be back when I crave for ramen so bad.

Dinner on Feb. 6. Again, very Japanese meal. I did really good job for cooked veggies.
Sake no Shioyaki : Grilled Salmon
Gomokuni(?) : Cooked veggies - It has carrot, renkon(lotus root), daikon(daikon radish), shitake mushroom and black beans tofu.
Bok Choy Oshitashi : Bok Choy Salad - with mustard and soy sauce
Dinner on Feb. 5. Very Japanese. Addition to the plates on the picture, I had rice and miso-soup with enoki mushroom.
Saba Syogani : ginger mackerel - I didn't follow a recipe and it tasted too light. I should have added a bit more soy sauce and sugar.
Oshitashi : Spinach Salad
Daikon Nimono : Cooked Daiko Radish
