Japanese Curry

Dinner on January 24.
I was very hungry for Japanese Curry. I am always hungry for something though. Anyway, Japanese curry is very different from Indian and Thai. It's just like creamy stew. Easy to make, because usually we use roux you can buy at store. I made some extra which means I can eat more tomorrow!

I want to have it once in a week,  but you know .... my paycheck doesn't allow me. Anyway I enjoyed the meal a lot. I am looking for to visit Kiku next month!

T-bone steak and Kale salad

Dinner on January 19.
When did I have beef last time?? So I decided to have steak for dinner. I got grass-fed beef. What a good timing! It was tender. I enjoyed it a lot. I had grilled parsnip and kale salad for side. Parsnip! I had not had it before. I liked it. I might prefer parsnip to french- fry for side. J made Kale Salad. It was awesome. I usually cook kale and do not have it as salad. He added fig and cheese and it worked very good.

Today's wine - I like zinfandel, but not this one. I won't buy this again.

Dinner at Franktuary on January 17.
It's restaurant week. Franktuary joined the restaurant week, but I just ordered food from regular menu. $20 for Hotdogs? I don't think so. Even they would serve a lot. Actually it cost us less than $30 for 2 people. ( I didn't drink though). If I go back there?? I am not sure. Hotdogs were good but I don't know how often I get hungry for hotdogs.

Seasonal Soup - I forgot what it was, but it's really good. I can come back for the soup!
