Japanese Curry: I cooked beef and other veggies all together this time. I should have cooked beef by pressure pan as usual. The beef was a bit chewy. BTW this is for J. I am still on no carbs at night diet.
We went to North Park in the morning. There's still snow on the ground but it's beautiful. It was a good way to start Sunday. I will try to come back this week.
Brunch by Chef J
Broccoli Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Bread: It's breakfast for us but we ate at 10:30 am and didn't have lunch. So it turned to brunch eventually. The scrambled egg tasted really good. Chef J did a good job.
Shrimp Cocktail, Cheese, Salami: I should have picked a different plate.
Homemade Tomato Sauce Pasta by Chef J: He made tomato sauce from home grown tomatoes. He didn't make the sauce last summer, so tomatoes were kept in the freezer.
So after the happy hour yesterday, I decided to stay at my friend's place. But I really wanted to go to Yoga this morning, I left her place before 6 am. Then this crazy one could make it for 7:30 am yoga class, ha! It was such a productive day.
Chicken Meatball Soup: I made this for Thursday Dinner, but I ate out. So this is the leftover. It still tastes good.
Garlic Parmesan Wings and Fries: I used slow cooker for cooking wings. I still need to practice to make good wings at home.
Finally, Friday is here! And I just realized that my car would need inspection and needed to get it done this month. So I dropped my car at the car dealership for lunch time break and my kind friend gave me a ride to pick up my car. We went to Coach's on Banksville road for happy hour after that. Yes, it's Friday!
I was going to go to Yoga this evening, but I have had a long week. So I went to Alexions with my co-worker. Alexions is a local bar and has good beer and food. And it was Wins Night on Thursday. I had no regrets skipping Yoga.
I still don't feel great. But I went to see Hedwig and the angry inch. It was so good. I always love the show. We tried make a reservation for a restaurant close to the theater, all popular places were already booked. So we tried Revel and Roost. It was happy hour. Half price for draft beer and $5 for house wine. Food was good too.
I couldn't stop sneezing yesterday. I thought I got allergy. It's too early for allergy season, but it has been very warm, so I though it could happen. When I got home I found myself very tired. Did I get cold? Just in case, I took Nyquil before going to bed. I can't be sick! I am going to see a musical, Hedwig and the angry inch tomorrow!
Pork Meatballs Soup: Thank god I made this soup on Sunday. The meatballs have ginger and garlic chives. This soup helps to keep my warm.
When I go to work on Saturday, there are so many things to do. To treat myself, I had good lunch and dinner.
Pittsburgh Salad with Grilled Chicken: Finally I made a perfect fries in the oven!
Zuke Donburi, Steamed Veggies, Miso Soup: I made Zuke Salmon and Tuna. They are marinated with Soy Sauce, Sake, Mirin. I still need to adjust ingredients, but I enjoyed it. I put them on the rice with avocados. Nice dinner.
Soon Du Bu and Bulgogi: It's been a while! So delish as alway.
Salmon and Tuna Sashimi, Shrimp & Avocado, Nappa Cabbage with Enoki Mushroom, Potato Salad, Spinach: My friend told me that I could buy fresh fish at Fish Company. I've lived in Pittsburgh over 5 years but I didn't know where to get fish for sashimi. I am so excited. I bought Salmon and Tuna today. It was good but I have to learn how to cut them for sashimi.
I went out for happy hour yesterday. I came home and went to bed around 9 pm. It's not because I was drunk. It's for Yoga at 7:30 am on Saturday. I left home earlier than going to work on week day. Thanks to Yoga, I could start Saturday morning with great feeling. Hopefully I can do it again next week.
Ham & Egg, Baked Beans, Bread
Smoked Mackerel, Kimo (Chicken Liver), Shiraae (Tofu Salad), Jaga Bata (Steamed Potato with butter), Kumato, Sake Nanban (Salmon with Veggie)
I enjoyed my meals all day today. I did good job on my lunch and had great wings for dinner. I stole some french fries from my friend's plate, but other than that I stayed away from carbs. (Again, beer is not count)
Stir-fried Chicken, Snow Peas, Broccoli, Carrot, Red Pepper with Oyster Sauce
Sweet & Spicy Thai Chili Wings: Domenico's is kinda Italian restaurant. So I didn't expect much but that's nice surprise! It was so good. And 12 pieces only for $9.95! Now this is my wing place in Cranberry.
Greens & Beans: My friend's favorite. He orders this meal wherever he goes. I understand. It is delicious.
Meatball, Stuffed Hot Pepper, Italian Sausage: This is good deal!
As a usual January task, I am on diet. No carbs for dinner, less drinks (of course I still drink), do Yoga as often as I can. So I get home from work, eat dinner and go to Yoga. Going to yoga after dinner helps me to have less drinks. Usually I drink while I make dinner, but now I have to wait to drink until getting back from yoga. And I go to bed earlier than before to get up to make J's lunch in the morning. I am trying to lose 8 pounds. Let's see how it will work this year.
Lettuce Salad: Simple is the best. Have Ponzu sauce and Sesame oil on the top of the lettuce.
Chicken Soup: Chicken Thigh, Green Onion, Soy Sauce, Salt & Pepper
