Vichyssoise at Tartine

I was going to have subway sandwich for lunch, but I changed my mind and went to Tartine. I tried Vochyssoise. .... It was good, but it reminded me Pringles sour and cream flavor. I liked the sandwich too, but I just realized that I like La Gourmandi the best for baguette sandwiches.

Quiche from La Gourmadine

Lunch on September 29.

I got into La Gourmadine a lot. I go there almost every week. And surprisingly, I buy pastries! I tried quiche this time, but it was ok. I guess I am not a big fan of goat cheese. Maybe I can try different flavor next time.

Again, La Gourmandine's Sandwich. Yes! I had been hungry for it all this week. The croissant was also good, cruncy and puffy. pefect!

I don't care about sweets much, but I tried some today. I picked Tarte au Citron and Tarte aux Framboises. They are good! I think I will try more next time!

Tartine

Lunch at Tartine on September 12.

I have been hungry for good sandwich since last sunday. I heard a good reputation from my co-workers about  a French Cafe in west end and I tried it today. Croque Monsieur looked good, but I was hungry for bugguate and ordered Pand Bagnat de Paule. It was really good. I picked salad on the side and I loved the dressing. But still I like La Gourmandine's sandwiches better. Still I difinetely come back here, Tartine.

I read an article about La Gourmandine Bakery on Pittsburgh Magazine. I wanted to buy some sweets for my friend and tried the bakery. They have not only pastries but also bread. I bought chouquettes for my friend and sandwich for my lunch. It was so good. The french baguette is crispy and tasty, of course, and ingredients are also good. I will go back to get some more bread soon.

Einstein Bros Bagel

Lunch at Einstein Bros Bagel on Mar. 6. I love bagels. I used to have bagels at home all the time. I had bagel sandwich for lunch today and it reminded me how much I liked bagels. I think I have coupon for Einstein Bros Bagel. I will buy some bagels before the expiration.

 

Nova  Lox & Bagel and Fresh Orange juice - Also I didn't have smoked salmon for a long time. I liked my lunch today:)

Baked Mash Potatoes : It was so good and rich. It had bacon, cheese, sour cream and more. I liked it. You did good job, Sis-In-Law, S.  

New York Strip and Fillet Mignon with Bacon : I usually prefer NY Strip but I liked Fillet Mignon a lot today. Why didn't I have red wine?

Pretzel Salad : I don't care about sweets, but I like mom-in-law's pretzel salad a lot! 

Breton Cake from Jean-Marc Chatellier's French Bakery : It was really good. It's not sweet but rich. I have had macarons there for my one of best friends BD. Everybody loved the macarons. Also I've had croissant. If you wanna try their cake or bread, get up early, or you won't get any.

Great Lakes Christmas Ale : Once in a year. One case in a year... because it's not cheap. It's full-bodies and spiced. Good seasonal beer. I wish I could have drunk more for dinner, but I had to go home because I have to go to work tomorrow morning. So I came back home and relax with christmas ale.
