I went out to meet friends 2 days straight. So now, I need me-time. I took my doges for a walk in the morning, did some households and went yoga before dinner. It was a really good weekend. Hope I will have a good one next week too.
After having a plan to go out with my friend, other friends invited me for a happy hour. If I had known earlier, I could have had the dinner plan on Saturday. Anyway, my friend suggested me a local Italian restaurant/pub/bar. I was not excited about it, but it was a nice surprise! I liked it. It is not like fancy Italian, but it's good enough to have in local.
I made J's favorite for dinner. He is my furry babies dad. Happy Farther's Day, J!
Sausage, Fried Egg, Quinoa & Brown Rice: Breakfast emergency, no rice and no potatoes. I was glad that I bought Quinoa mix at Costco!
Yakisoba: I used rice ramen noodle. It was not great, but still gluten free.
Tai No Aradaki (Simmered Red Snapper), Dashimaki (Japanese Omelette), Glass Noodle Salad, Broccoli: I used to make Tai No Aradaki often when we lived in Japan. This is one of J's favorite Japanese food.
I went to Benihana for my co-worker's farewell party. We were going to MadMex but it was too busy. Anyway we had a good time. It was first time for me to go to Hibachi in Pittsburgh. Because I do not like the Hibachi style.
I had lunch at home before going to work. Get all vegetables in the fridge together. Cut them thin and put them on the cold noodle. Yes, Hiyashi Chuka! I love it. I am glad to find a good recipe of the dressing for it. I am sure I will eat Hiyashi Chuka a lot this summer!
Hiyashi Chuka: Cucumber, Carrot, Grape Tomatoes, Chipped Ham on cold noodle.
