Maguro Donburi and Sashimi Dinner

Friday, July 7.
I was off today. J and I went to Strip District and got fresh fish. It was such a gourmet day!

Breakfast
Pittsburgh Hash (?), Scrambled Egg: I tried to make the Pamela's Pittsburgh Hash, but it didn't work. Well, I used leftovers of sausage and sauerkraut. I guess there were not enough sausages.

Lunch

Dinner

Salmon, Tuna, Flounder, Scallop: This cost about less than $25. I think I am not going to eat out for Sashimi anymore in Pittsburgh.

I went to Benihana for my co-worker's farewell party. We were going to MadMex but it was too busy. Anyway we had a good time. It was first time for me to go to Hibachi in Pittsburgh. Because I do not like the Hibachi style.

Ehou Maki for Setsubun 2017

Saturday, February 4
I had dinner with my friends last night. As I was tired, I came back home early and went to bed. Then I took Yoga class at 7:30 am this morning. I felt good!

Dinner
Setsubun Meal: We eat Sushi Roll on February 3 (Setsubun Holiday) for good luck. It is one day late but I still try to follow Japanese tradition. This is first time I made Ehou Maki (Sushi Roll for Setsubun) since I left Japan. I think I did a good job. Also we had steamed clams and salad.

Ehou Maki: Cucumber, Shrimp, Egg Omelet, Pickled Daikon Radish, Shitake Mushroom, Avocado, Sesame Seeds

Steamed Clams: Cook Clams with minced garlic and oil for a minute. Add cooking sake and steam until the clams opened.
